The OMI/Excelsior Beacon Center is located at James Denman Middle School
and is a part of the Urban Services YMCA. The Beacon center provides a
variety of services to the Ocean View, Merced, Ingleside and Excelsior
Neighborhoods of San Francisco. The OMI/Excelsior Beacon was established in
May of 1999 and has been providing free after school programming,
recreational activities, gang prevention, case management, summer camp,
field trips and family and community events.  Our staff is dedicated to serving
the community and supporting the families and friends of the OMI/Excelsior
Neighborhood.
You Are Visitor
Three Easy Steps for youth to join the Beacon:

1. Youth can pick up a registration form in the cafeteria after school till 3:45 or
visit our office.

2. Youth must get all pages signed and filled out by a parent or guardian.

3. Youth can return the form to the cafeteria after school and can turn it into     
Margarita or Rose. Youth can also return their completed forms to our office
as well.

After Returning the completed form, the youth is now a OMI/Excelsior Beacon
Member and can participate in all Beacon activities which include after school
enrichment programs, homework help, football, arts and crafts, field trips,
dances, case management, and much, much more.
